For those who don’t know me, I absolutely adore dogs and always have. As far as I remember, we’ve always had a dog in the family (mostly small ones!) For my two most recent ones Scooby, our families beloved Jack Russell that not long passed away and my current dog, my beautiful short haired dachshund Willow! 

 I love being around dogs and I’ve always gravitated more towards spending time with people’s pets than the person themselves... what can I say, I'm a dog person! 

I’ve been volunteering at the Animal Rescue Centre in Arbroath for a while now, taking a few hours out the week to spend time with dogs looking for their own home and a bed to call their own. I love these dogs as if they were my own. 

That’s how it clicked that, maybe a career with dogs is what I'd thrive in. 

I chose dog grooming as a way to connect with each dog that comes through the doors. Be it a new puppy, a long-loved family dog, a rescue dog... Each dog that comes to see me deserves to be pampered and feeling fresh. I’ve seen what a difference a bath can make to a rescue dog! 

I’m only at the beginning of my career, I still have so much I'd love to learn and can’t wait to dive deeper into this world. 

I look forward to meeting as many furry pups as this career will bring!
